Welcome To Beaver Scouts

Our Beaver Scouts are aged between six and eight years old who are the youngest section of the Scouting family.

Activities are based around making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going out on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be safe and most importantly, making new friends.

Easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts, Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others.

The Beaver Scout Law

There is no formal Beaver Scout Law. The concepts expressed in the Scout Law are to be presented to Beaver Scouts through games, storytelling and other informal activities.

Be prepared

Meet the leadership team

Here at 1st Llanedeyrn Beavers, we have a strong leadership team consisting of a Beaver Scout leader and 2 assistant leaders who work alongside the Group Scout Leader to provide a balanced programme of activities. By doing this it gives the Beavers an opportunity to do things they wouldn’t normally do including their first nights away badge!

Meet Benny the Beaver

Benny is the Beaver Colony Mascot. Each week he gets to go home with a Beaver Scout along with a diary for a parent or guardian to add photos of the adventures he had.

Thank you so much for tonight’s promise ceremony. He is super chuffed and I am so so proud of him. It will be something I will never forget. He has asked if he can go to Beavers again tomorrow but I think he’s just desperate for his badges.
